I'm sorry you've been diagnosed with a rare primary peritoneal cancer with a secondary lung effusion but it's good to hear it won't be long until you start your chemo.

As you say, finding out you have cancer can come as a huge shock, and no doubt elicit many other emotions as well, so if you'd like to talk about any of this with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very easy to talk to and will do all they can to support you and answer any other questions you may have about your diagnosis and/or treatment at this time.
