Just a new person round here

Hi! I’m just an annoying wheelchair user who is mildly deaf. I survived pancreatic cancer as a child, and it was around the same time my uncle had a brain tumour. I look on the bright side of things and try to stay positive, that was the last thing my uncle said to me. He told me to be myself and positive, so here I am. I have EDS, and I’m happy to meet all of you!

  • Hi JustUrAveragePotato,

I noticed you haven't had a reply just yet so I thought I'd stop by to welcome you to the forum and reassure you that your post has been seen.

I'm sorry to hear you had pancreatic cancer when you were a child. It must have been very tough, even more so with your uncle's brain tumour being diagnosed around the same time, but I'm glad you had him to support you on your journey and that you took his very good advice on board.

Hopefully some of our members will be along soon for a chat but if you have any questions or concerns about anything cancer related, do feel free to give our team of cancer nurses a call on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very insightful and will do all they can to help.

It's lovely to meet you Potato and I hope you enjoy being a part of our community.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
