Clinical Trials UK, EU, USA, WORLDWIDE

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out for some advice regarding BRAF-mutated colorectal cancer. I’d like to explore all the treatment options available, particularly in relation to clinical trials.

Does anyone have experience or guidance on how to access:

Previously successful trials that may have relevant findings or compassionate use programmes?Ongoing trials that could potentially be suitable for my situation?Information about upcoming trials that I can discuss with my oncologist?

I’m especially interested in hearing from those who have been through a similar experience or know of organisations, advocates, or resources that can help navigate this.

Thank you so much for any insights or support you can offer!

  • I can't help answer your question other than suggest you start by searching for any charity/charities for colorectal cancer that may have trial information. I'm a melanoma patient & we have a charity that has a Trial Finder on their website. I would also reach out to your cancer nurse and/or consultant to ask how to access this information.

Thank you Angie! Can I ask how long ago you were diagnosed? And have you been successful in finding a trial?

    Good Luck my love!

I was diagnosed Stage 1 in 1996 and then Stage 3 in 2009. I had a full node clearance of the groin and pelvic nodes (melanoma found in 1 groin and 1 pelvic node). Fortunately I've been in remission (no evidence of disease) since then so I haven't needed drug treatment but it's available if my cancer returns.
