I was diagnosed with this condition before the weekend following a Chest X Ray on Wednesday.  Iheard the radiologist gasp when she saw my X-ray behind their screen.  I tried to block that from my memory but it has stuck with me.  
I am starting chemo on Friday.  The portends for this illness are bleak.  About 1 year I believe.  I am 80 now and have other medical conditions like Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Angina and Osteopaenia.  I can cope with these but this condition really frightens me.

Are any of you dear people with what sounds like an awful illbess?  I am ok but really frightened.   I hope I will have some replies to the positive.  I like positiivity.
