You should have it checked.

There's an mnemonic for when to have a mole investigated.

A: Asymmetrical

B: Border irregular, ragged, notched, or blurred

C: Color nonuniform or variegated

D: Diameter larger than 6 millimeters (about the size of a pencil eraser)

E: Evolving changes in size, shape, or colour

So any one of those points it's best to get to the GP. Saying that, pregnancy and other hormones can affect moles but it's best to get it double checked.

I agree with Lyns, it needs checking out by your GP who will decide if you need referring to dermatology for a further examination. Hopefully it will turn out to be nothing but you can never be too careful. Good luck & please let us know how you get on,
