I am so sorry to hear that this is your mother. Has she been told when she should get the rest of her results? Waiting for results is one of the most worrying times of a cancer journey, as there are so many unknowns. Irrespective of the outcome, you will all feel better, once you know what is happening. Can I ask what age your mother is and what age you are. A cancer diagnosis affects the whole family.
I lost my mum to secondary breast cancer 25 years ago. Since then I have had 2 bouts of primary breast cancer myself. Treatments have advanced so much in the interval, that there was just no comparison between the diagnosis, treatment and after care that we both received. I am now 14 years down the line from diagnosis and I still lead a busy and fulfilling life. I hope that your mother will do the same.
