Hi there. I have just been diagnosed with Stage 1 ovarian cancer and like you am feeling scared. It feels quite surreal but very real all at the same time! I have already had my operation, a hysterectomy 5 weeks ago, and got the results last week. Have an appointment tomorrow with the Oncologist to discuss the chemo. All very daunting and understand how you will be feeling.
I've been diagnosed with a small growth in my right lung but I'm posting here because my wife had breast cancer. Successfully removed she felt well....as a precaution, after histology, they wanted to widen the perimeter of the area to ensure it wasn't hiding.
At first it was " oh no" but it was a wise move and she's fully recovered and it's almost forgotten. Brilliant support again from Cornwall NHS and the specialist team in Truro.
