Just diagnosed with Neuroendocrine tumours in the tail of the pancreas

I have been diagnosed with Neuroendocrine tumours in the tail of the pancreas and have been advised that the best treatment is regular 28 day injections of Lanreotide.

i have had 2 of these and the dreadful symptoms last over 2 weeks once extent that I have no life.

i can't spend time or go out to meals with friends and I haven't had a proper meal in 6 weeks and have felt absolutely dreadful.

i have made the decision to stop these very expensive injections and take my chances on maybe 4-6 year survival rate but with being able to live my life playing tennis and eating and going out with fritndd and playing tennis several times a week which I can't do now

has anyone else on here been in the same dilemma?
