Clinic are lovely but it is 15 miles on two buses twice or three times a week

Husband for whom I was a carer has had to go in a home miles away and I visit by bus and train but it was the only place they could find when I was admitted to hospital and he had a seizure when I artist A&E

He is in and out of hospital which is three bus rides away from me

  • Hello Lucy-Lu

I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis and the situation that you find yourself in. It's obviously a very difficult time for you and it's understandable that you're struggling.

It's good to hear that the clinic staff are so supportive. Please do speak to them about the side effects you're experiencing if you've not already done so as there may be medications they can prescribe to help or recommendations they can make to improve things.

I'd also suggest asking the hospital about patient transport services. In many areas of the country, there are services available to take patients to hospital appointments and it may be that you can easily access these services to take you too and from your clinic appointments.

Do you have any family or friends who could perhaps occasionally help you as well Lucy-Lu? Don't be afraid to reach out for support.

If you'd like to talk with one of our nurses you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice and support they can.

    Sending you my best wishes,
