  • Hi Quo,

A very warm welcome to our forum.

I am so sorry to hear that you have just been told that you have breast cancer. Do you know what type of breast cancer you have, or what stage it is? Receiving a cancer diagnosis always comes as a shock. It opens up so many unknowns and gives reign to out overactive imaginations. It takes some time to get to the stage where we know exactly what treatment will lie ahead, but it does become easier to deal with, once you know what you have to face.

Treatments for breast cancer have come a long way in recent years and more people are now living with it. I myself, have had 2 bouts, within a year of each other. That was 14 years ago now and I still lead a busy and fulfilling life - here's hoping that you will too.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

Oh sweetheart thank you for reaching out. It is scary but the symptoms you are having are common at your age. All part of growing up and your body changing. Please please speak to your mum again or a trusted adult friend who can help you get the reassurance you need. Sending lots of love xx

    Hi Mzzz,

It is unlikely that you have breast cancer at your age. Most people who get diagnosed are older, but it can never be ruled out in younger people. Have you discussed this with your mum?  Please make an appointment with you GP, to get your symptoms checked out. We are always advised to do this, if we notice any changes.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

i dont know yet what type it is, going tomorow to find out. Dr said its 15mm and im sure she also the ultra sound in my armpit was clear. But the look on her face keeps making me think she knows it is bad.

    Hi Quo,

I'm glad to hear that you'll find out more tomorrow. The waiting for results is always torture.  Although your doctor may think that you have cancer, she won't know how bad it is, until the biopsy results come back. If your armpit looks clear on ultrasound, this is good news, as cancer usually spreads via the lymph nodes.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on tomorrow - I'll be thinking of you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

I was so worried but really there was no need surgery was so smooth and quick and my wounds have healed amazingly.cant believe how neat everything is.
