Hi all

Hello Br2909
I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Undoubtedly this will have been difficult news to receive and I hope that you've been well supported by family, friends and health professionals since getting this news.
We have had quite a few members share their stories about living with stage 4 bowel cancer on the forum. I'd suggest using the forum search function at the top of the page, entering "stage 4 bowel cancer" (including the quote marks) which should give you lots of posts that you can read through and comment on if you feel you want to try and chat with a particular member.
In terms of pain relief, I'd really encourage you to talk with your cancer specialist nurse or the palliative care team if you've been referred to them for advice and support with this. Hopefully they will be able to help with any concerns that you have about pain management and improve your levels of comfort.
If you'd like to talk things through with one of our nurses you can call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can.
Do keep in touch and let us know how you're getting on Br2909. We're here for you.
Sending you my best wishes,
Jenn
