Astrocytoma and craniectomy

I was diagnosed with an Astrocytoma last March and had debunking surgery but later found I had an infection so had to have surgery to remove infected plates and screws but they could not put my bone flap back in. Anyone have experience with getting a plate put back in after craniectomy?

    I'm sorry to hear that you had surgery for an astrocytoma earlier this year and that following the surgery you experienced some complications. 

    I don't think we currently have any active members who have shared experience of this surgery but I'm sure that you would be able to connect with others via The Brain Tumour Charity.
