SteveWF: I am nearly at the end of my radiotherapy for prostate cancer

I'm nearly at the end of my radiotherapy and looking forward to getting less tired.

The comradery of other patients with the same treatment added to the utterly fantastic radio therapists made the process bearable. I still have a few years of hormone treatment to come. I have advanced prostrate cancer but seems to have not spread beyond the prostate (just)   This has so far left me having to relearn basics such as peeing with heavily shrunk apparatus and aching joints and slight nausea. For anyone else in the same state take time to rest, expect to be tired. Have moisturising cream for bits of your body which may dry out. Listen to the radiographers advice and don't be embarrassed if your bladder lets fly.

You are not alone
