I had a lumpectomy it took about 3/4 weeks for swelling to go down however yours my be different with it being a mastectomy xx

I have had both a lumpectomy and a double mastectomy. I did have more fluid build up after the double mastectomy, than I had after the lumpectomy and had to have the fluid aspirated a few times. It took about 3 weeks for the swelling to settle after the lumpectomy and 5 after the double mastectomy. I suspect that the times will vary from individual to individual depending upon what other co-morbidities they have,

Are you having a lot of bother with swelling?
