Hi everyone I'm new here,
I'm sorry in advance if this post sound rudely to someone but is just the way I talk.
I had a hemithyrodectomy back in 2022, and papilary microcarcinoma 8mm was removed. Since then I only had one scan which I had to beg for and 2 blood test to check hormons level.
I've been told that is not classified as cancer.
Now I experience heavy periods and abdominal and pack pain very often, I had ultrasound and the result that I can see on the nhs app are abnormal, I call the GP straight away and ask to speak with the doctor that did the referral for the ultrasound, I explain the receptionist everything I read there and that I need assurance that is all good from my doctor until my appointment in 20 days, the receptionist literally laughed and said that the doctor was fully booked and is not able to call me back today and from Monday the doctor is on holiday.
I don't panic but I feel that I'm not seriously taken by the GP practice, I'm not sure whether is that I'm from another country leaving in the uk and some people doesn't like immigrants or something else.
I'm not sure what are my rights and what to do, I'll appreciate if someone can give me guidance and information about this.
I'm sorry in advance if this post sound rudely to someone but is just the way I talk.
