Hello I-Have-Not-Used-My-Full-Name and welcome to the Cancer Chat community. 

It's great to hear that as you're approaching the first anniversary of your bowel cancer surgery things are becoming easier for you. I'm sure it's been a real rollercoaster over the last year or so and it's good to know that you've been well-supported by family and friends. 

I wanted to just say thanks for offering support to others who may find themselves facing a similar journey. I know from the many posts that I've read here on the forum how much it can help when people are able to share positive stories, even if the journey is rocky along the way. Hopefully, you will be able to offer support and reassurance to others in the future. 

I don't know if you and the family are marking your 1 year anniversary in any particular way but if you are then I hope you are able to celebrate all the good things that you've achieved during this last year.
