Hi Izzyrock. I'm a year into bowel cancer and it's now in the liver. I've never felt I'll, and still don't! I find it hard to find anyone who will discuss the future or the options. The cancer team here seem to know their stuff, but I'm finding it hard to know what's likely in my future?! I've had the operation and the chemo, and at my age, I'm not sure I want to go through all that again! Good luck with your situation, I'll be pulling for you to be a winner.

My partner's cancer hasn't made him ill either. It's been the side effects of the medication but I'm sure without them the cancer would be getting him by now. He's stage 4 melanoma. It's weird how often people get told he's having palliative care for them not to understand. He doesn't "look" like a cancer patient so they don't seem to get it. He's coming to the end of his two year immunotherapy plan and we've still got him but it's stressful worrying what happens now. Some people live for years stage 4. We've got 2 children, oldest is 10. I've been hanging about these boards too much this week thinking about what's coming. I think I need to distract myself again. I don't think what I'm doing is helping me let alone him or the kids. I just wish noone had to go through this.
