Hi Taniaboy welcome to the forum. You don't say what your situation is, if you feel comfortable to it will help get the right people responding to you. X
Hi Bungle1
i was diagnosed with stag 4 follicular lymphoma with large mass in my tummy this time last year.
I have had a rough time over the past year.
chemo wasn’t working so had to increase and have a stronger form of chemo, thankfully that worked after 12 treatments .
I very nearly gave up when I was told it wasn’t working as I was feeling so unwell from the chemo I was on . All I thought was I can’t feel any worse, I just can’t cope.
fortunately I have 4 amazing children and amazing family who firstly told me of for thinking of giving up and supported me all the way.
I am now currently in remission but still having to have chemo every 2 months for the next 2 years.
doctors say it isn’t curable but manageable so I guess they are managing it now.
Hi Taniaboy I'm glad you didn't give up. It's sounds like you having an amazing family supporting you. Pleased you are in remission, is the chemo still making you feel bad ?. My cancer is different to yours, I finish my first lot of chemo tomorrow have been feeling sick 24/7 but not sure if it's the chemo or anxiety ill find out when it stops. Stay strong. X
Hi meant to say you might like to post on macmillan forum also. They split it into all the different cancers. X
Hope your chemo goes well, sorry you feel so sick, it does get better the more you have.
I lost all my hair. For a woman I think that’s the worst bit. I hope you keep yours.
Thank you. Hairloss was my first question to them and apparently I won't lose the hair on my head so I guess that makes me lucky. X
