Hi I’m Anne Marie and I’ve just been diagnosed with Stage 1 tongue cancer. Does anyone have any experience of sentinel lymph node biopsy or neck dissection ?
I'm sorry to hear that you have recently been diagnosed with tongue cancer. It's good to hear that it's been caught early at stage 1 and hopefully, the team have given you reassurance about the treatment that has been recommended.
I know that we've lots of members who have shared their stories of head and neck cancers in the Cancer Chat community and certainly some of them will have undergone a neck dissection surgery. I'd suggest having a look through this thread where some of them have shared their stories and perhaps commenting to introduce yourself. You might also want to use the forum search function to look for the term "dissection" where you can read some of the posts others have shared.
