  • Hello JakeandMolly

I'm so very sorry to hear that your Dad's cancer has returned and that this time there are no treatment options available for him. It's understandable that this news has left you feeling very worried.

It's positive to hear that your Dad has already been offered the services of the palliative care team and that he has been given some medication to try and make him more comfortable. Do talk honestly with the palliative care nurses about any concerns and questions that you have. They are they to support you as a family as well as care for your Dad at this difficult time.

If you think it may help to talk things through with one of our nurses you're welcome to call them. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

I do hope that your Dad, and you as a family, are well supported by the health professionals now involved in his care.

Sending you all my best wishes,
