Newbie - husband diagnosed with sarcoma

Hi I'm seeking advice and reassurance,my husband of 8 years,together 15 years.

Has been told he has bone sarcoma,we are awaiting a biopsy and another mri(contrast)to see how big mass is and stage.

Very worrying time as still waiting as he has issues in spinal area too,so keep rejecting refferal.

Hopefully tomorrow it will be sorted as Doctor is going to put a complaint in,as my husband has had this problem for 5 months. He limps now and it swells up in thigh and has no feeling in it.

Just thought I'd share as new to this,he also has dyviculitis and Afib, one thing after another.

Any advice grateful,we are just carrying on as normal.

I'm sorry to hear your husband was recently diagnosed with bone sarcoma and that you're now anxiously waiting for further tests to find out what stage it is and how big the mass may be.

I know this must be a very scary and stressful time for you both but I hope it helps to know that so many of our members know what you're going through right now, so you are not alone, and hopefully some of them will stop by soon to offer their support and advice.

If you or your husband would like to talk things through with someone, then do give our team of cancer nurses a call. They're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and will do all they can to answer your questions and put your mind at ease about what's to come.

  • Hi thankyou for your reply and support.

We are still waiting for an appointment and there s a 75 day wait with Spinal surgeon.

The doctor is very angry as asked for a 2ww referral we are now in 3rd week.

He is pushing for urgent attention as this is not good enough,so my husband is now considering private care.He is struggling with his leg at times and not sleeping much,he also has Afib and Diviculitis,so stree of it all is not helping.

I hope we get answers very quickly
