Just had a biopsy to find out if I have cancer. Scared but calm

Hi everyone,

I'm at a very early stage in this, have just had biopsy to determine cancer.

Like the rest of you I am scared silly but feel a strange sense of calm (which isn't like me).

Is anyone else going through the waiting period atm?

Would love to relate feelings etc.

Thanks

  • Hi Carol,

I am keeping everything crossed for you that you get your biopsy results soon and that it turns out to be nothing of concern. It's normal to be scared as you are waiting to find out more and you are dealing with all the uncertainty that goes with what can feel like an endless wait for results. It's good that you are managing to keep calm though and this sense of calm will hopefully help you get through the coming days.

You are not alone though and so many members of our community find themselves in a similar place at the moment and I thought I would share with you these helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for important news.

I will now let others who are going through this at the moment or who have had to wait for biopsy results before come and say hello. They will be able to relate to how you are feeling at the moment and it does help to talk to others in a similar boat.

    Best wishes,
