Hi I have just been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma too. I have it in my tongue, it was my dentist who spotted it. I’ve been told I will need to have a bit of my tongue removed. Feeling a little anxious about it all.

I am so sorry that it has taken so long to reply. My situation is very strange, I will try to explain.
Two years ago I lost my husband January 5th 2022. March that year I developed what I believed was a spot on my left shoulder at the back, my daughter thought that it was a boil and dressed it ( cutting a long story short ) I ended up going to the doctors where I saw a nurse who told me that it was a horn and to go back in four weeks and she would remove it. Four weeks later I return with what was now quite painful and it was cut out which now needed 10 stitches and sent for biopsy. It turned out to be Squamous Cell Carcinoma. They believed that it had all been removed. Less than two weeks later I was covered in a rash, my scalp,face and body, maybe because I am on anticoagulants and I bled profusely when it was removed.
Over two years later I am still suffering with a rash that does not heal, also a lump in my neck and now a sore on my bottom lip inside and out.
It now seems to me that no one is particularly interested due to my age I am 87 or maybe I am just wondering about nothing.
