  • Hi Izzie66,

I can imagine it was a real shock to you to find out that your husband has lung cancer which spread and there is information on our website on advanced lung cancer you may find useful. You are right to want to take one day at a time as it's hard to know what is going to happen next as it can all be so unpredictable. I hope you won't mind but I have added more information about your husband's cancer in the title of your thread so that it can potentially  be spotted by others who have had a similar diagnosis or who have also been a carer for someone with advanced cancer.

Being a carer is by no means easy and I am sure you do a fantastic job and that your husband appreciates having you by his side. Feel free to read our section for family, friends and carers which has some good tips to help you support someone with cancer without forgetting to look after yourself as this will allow you to recharge your batteries and then have more energy to take care of your husband.

We're thinking of you and your husband during this challenging time and wanted you to know that you are not alone. I will now let our community members come and say hello and share their story with you.

    Best wishes,
