I'm sorry to hear that your partner has been told that his cancer has returned and now spread to his pancreas. It's understandable that you may have questions and concerns about his treatment. 

It can help to keep in mind that everyone's experience of chemotherapy is different. Not everyone will have the same side effects to the same degree or at the same point in their treatment plan so try not to worry. Having said that, if you have any concerns or questions then do get in touch with your partner's cancer nurse specialist. They will be best placed to offer any advice and support whilst he's going through this treatment and if necessary can arrange any additional appointments that may be needed. 

We do have a thread where lots of people who have been through treatment for oesophageal cancer have posted to share their experiences. You may want to have a look through some of those posts and maybe reply there to introduce yourself. You can also try using the forum search function to look for posts where Docetaxel has been mentioned.

Thank you for your advice.  Unfortunately my other half doesn't want to know anything and won't ask questions . Getting a scan after 3rd session so will know more then
