Mum has been diagnosed with grade 2 invasive ductal carcinoma

Hi all, my mum has recently been diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma. We have an appointment on 4th September to discuss the condition and then her operation to remove the mass is booked in for about a months time. Just joining this community to read similar stories and try to ease my worries a little bit.

  • Hi Adelegigi,

A very warm welcome to our forum.

I am so sorry to hear about your mum's diagnosis. Fortunately, this should be perfectly treatable. Not knowing what is happening is always a worrying time, but I'm sure that her consultant will give her more answers when you see him/her. You will find it helpful to put your heads together before this appointment, to write down some questions. Take this list with you to your consultation, as it is all too easy to forget something important at the time.

Please keep in touch and let us know how she gets on. We are always here for both of you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
