Hpv for over 6 years now cin 2

I'm 54 years old, going through menopause for 2 years, had hpv for 5 years or more but never any action. Been bleeding since January non stop and getting severe cramping now. Couple of fibroids discovered this year, after recent smear, have been diagnosed with cin 2. Got an appointment to discuss treatment in a couple of weeks. Can I just ask for a hysterectomy and get it all treated at the same time? What do you think? I think it's the way to go.

  • Hello Trad and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through. It sounds like you've been dealing with a lot of challenging symptoms, and it's understandable to want to find a comprehensive solution.

While I can't offer medical advice, it's great that you have an appointment to discuss your treatment options soon. It might be a good idea to bring up all your concerns and preferences, including the possibility of a hysterectomy, with your doctor.

In the meantime, I hope others in this community who have faced similar situations can share their experiences and insights with you. Until then, if you think that asking questions to someone with a medical background might help, our team of nurses can be reached on this number 0808 800 4040 Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    With best wishes,
