I'm getting surgery for oesphageal cancer on the 2nd of August. I had a really good response to treatment. I'm nervous that the cancer will come back as it sayes that if it recurs it usually does within 2 years of surgery. Thankyou
I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. It's understandably a worrying time as you prepare for surgery next week and natural that you will have questions and concerns.
I know that many members here will understand the "but what if" questions that come with a cancer diagnosis. Try to avoid searching the internet for information as this often leaves people feeling more worried. Keeping a positive mindset can certainly help to get through treatment.
