Newbie - newly diagnosed with high grade lymphoma

I have a preliminary diagnosis of lymphoma high grade which has resulted in a huge tumour on the side of my face and parotid.Has caused me so much pain..due to the rarity of lymphoma in the parotid it was thought to be something else...has been growing for 4 months.Symptoms are bad and I can barely eat.Scared to death just waiting on the biopsy coming back to start treatment.Im only 46.

  • Hi Louisa,

I noticed you haven't had a reply to your post yet so I just wanted to stop by to welcome you to the forum and to reassure you that your post has been seen.

I'm very sorry to hear about your diagnosis and how much pain and discomfort this tumour is causing. This must be incredibly difficult, and scary, but the Cancer Chat community are here for you and I'm sure it won't be long until some of them stop by to offer their support and advice.

I really do hope your biopsy results will be back soon but if you have any questions or concerns you'd like to discuss with one of our cancer nurses, you can make a new post in their section of the forum called ask the nurses, or give them a call on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to help.

We're thinking of you Louisa and sending all our support to you at this very challenging time.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
