Hi, I have had 2 primary breast cancers years, apart and differing sides. It felt harder 2nd time around and everything that could go wrong did so. Coming to terms with it is difficult   Remain very tired, and anxious after treatment finished. I realise this is a normal reaction but wish I could live in the moment and not over think a future I have no control over.

  • Hello Bosom

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been through treatment for breast cancer for a second time. It's understandable that it has felt more difficult this time around and natural that you're struggling with reconcile all that has happened.

I know that Breast Cancer Now runs a Moving Forward course and Maggie's runs a course called Where Now? for people who have finished treatment. Both of these courses are aimed at helping support people with tips, advice, and support to help them move forward after a cancer diagnosis. It might be worth having a look to see if either of these options may be of interest to you.

You can also talk with your breast care nurse to see what other options may be available in your local area. Some hospitals have access to a specialist cancer psychologist service to help support people who may be struggling.

If you'd like to talk with one of our nurses for some advice and support you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

If it helps to have somewhere safe to put down inwriting how you're feeling, please do keep posting on the forum. We're here to listen and offer any support we can.

    Best wishes,
    Jenn
