Polycythemia vera

Hi all back in June 23 I was diagnosed with Essential Thromboythemia and started my chemotherapy tablets and had terrible itching after a shower,

Now lat the beginning of this month after telling my cancer doctor about my itching I have now been told I have polycethemia Vera and I’m now on jakavi Ruxolitinib I had a blood test yesterday some bloods are pretty low but I have high calcium levels not over the top but high does anyone else have this 

many thanks for reading my story and I’m 63 and I’m a gardener and also having my gallbladder out hopefully soon and an enlarged spleen

    Thank you for sharing your story. It's good you went to the doctor's about that itching and I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have Polycythemia Vera. We have information on our website on polycythaemia vera which I hope you will find useful. I've had a little look on the forum and found for example  's polycythemia vera thread so don't hesitate to respond to it if you wish and I hope that you will be able to connect with others who have had a similar diagnosis and who have also been taking ruxolitinib. 

    I am sorry to hear about the high calcium levels and I hope that others who have experienced raised calcium levels before will come and share their experience with you. You are definitely not alone and you have come to the right place to talk to others who have had a similar diagnosis.
