Endometrial biopsy

I am 55 and about to have a uterus biopsy and hysteroscopy next week. My Cyclical HRT was changed to continuous combi hrt patches last year as I had raised Ca125 levels and swelling in my abdomen. This all settled down once I changed to the continuous HRT patches however I still continued and contininue to bleed every 2 weeks for over 9 months so was referred back to my gynecologist on a 2 ww. An internal ultrasound measured my endometrial thicking as 10.5mm. I have pain in my womb and spotting after intercourse. Most days I have period cramps and spotting g or period every 2 weeks still.

I have got another period a week before my biopsy. Does this mean that the endometrial lining will be thin again and the biopsy will not be of any use?

I am having a general anaesthetic for the procedure.
