Breast cancer

I was recently diagnosed with breat cancer and had a mastectomy on the left breast9. It had mastestacised into 2 of4 sentinel nodes. My consultant wanted to do further surgery to take out more nodes but I refused. I had a CT scan as an option. My invasive lobular carcinoma was slow growing. Unfortunately something has been found in my stomach. My surgeon didn’t tell me where or how big and I didn’t ask as I was totally shocked. I will have an endoscopy sometime. I am terrified which is causing anxiety. I do not feel ill. Can anyone help please tai chi

  • A very warm welcome to the Cancer Chat community Taichi although I'm sorry to hear about your breast cancer and that something may have been found in your stomach as well.

I know this must be a very scary and worrying time, but our members are here for you Taichi and hopefully some of them stop by when they can to offer their thoughts and advice.

If you'd like to discuss your situation further with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very insightful and will do all they can to support you and put your mind at ease whilst you wait.

We're thinking of you Taichi and wishing you all the best with your endoscopy. We'll have our fingers crossed nothing sinister is found.

    Kind regards,
