I’ve got urgent referral for heavy bleeding tomorrow… I’m 74 and absolutely beside myself … although I’m ashamed of myself… I can’t bear the thought of my ugly old body being examined…
Sorry to hear you've got to have some investigations. I just wanted to drop by to offer some support. I have had several examinations over the last year, and I too was really worried about it. I'm overweight and a virgin, and the thought of being examined was awful.
However, it was nowhere near as bad as I had built it up to be in my head! All the doctors/nurses put me at ease, and for intimate examinations they do as much as they can to preserve dignity. Yes, it isn't the most pleasant thing in the world, but it's over quickly and is so important in getting the right treatment etc.
Hi Shifty I just wanted to say well done on getting this first examination done ,its never easy no matter what age but they've seen it all before thousands of times so don't ever be worried about that , I hope your results are easily treatable .

I know it's scary waiting for results, but try as best as you can not to worry. There are lots of causes of these things, cancer is only one of them. I know it's easier said than done!

Hi SFG… not doing too well I’m afraid … diagnosed with Stage 4 incurable sarcoma womb cancer which has spread… waiting for an appointment with oncologist next week… but doesn’t seem good… I am not in a good place at the moment …how are you doing?
