Womb cancer

Hello I’m new here. Recently diagnosed with womb cancer

I’m 66 & only symptom was light watery spotting. Went to gp & it’s been all go since then.  Radical hysterectomy 3 weeks ago. Doing well   Histology showed cancer stage 3 found in polyps but biopsy clear!
so positive hats firmly on & feeling grateful beyond words.
starting brachytherapy next week. Followed by chemotherapy… I’m extremely thankful it’s been caught early.  Albeit feeling a little anxious about next few months ahead which must be natural ..  love & best wishes to you all x

  • Hello NannyKimmy

I'm sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis but it's good to hear that you've already had your surgery and you're recovery is going well. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about the next steps in your treatment and I know lots of members here will understand some of those concerns.

I can see that you've been chatting with another lady, Alison, on a different thread about your respective journeys. It's good that you've been able to connect with someone who understands. I did want to let you know that here at Cancer Research UK we do have a team of nurses that you can contact for advice, information, and support if you think that would be helpful at any point. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

I hope that the next stage of your treatment progresses smoothly NannyKimmy. Do keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
