Hairy cell

Hi all. My husband stats treatment for hairy cell leukaemia next week - Cladribine with Rituximab. I'm really nervous re looking after his side effects particularly fever and shakes. Our nearest A&E is over 30 mins & I just wondered if anyone knew how long to try & deal with any spikes before I take him.  I'm a bit of a panicker & feeling worried

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear of the situation with your husband - I hope you are getting on OK, and I can understand you wanting to be as prepared as possible.

    If you haven't already, try to discuss with your husband's doctor as much as possible about what to potentially expect, as well as seeking any guidance or suggestions from them about the best way to support him.
