Hi orla9048,
I think it would be worth asking your consultant what your options will be after surgery and whether you can be given immunotherapy. It's completely understandable to be worried about your hair but make sure you have this conversation with your medical team who will be able to reassure you and point you in the best direction. There are so many types of breast cancer too that they will know best what is right for you and what is recommended so don't hesitate to talk them and ask them all the questions that spring to your mind.
I thought I would also give you the number of our cancer nurses - 0808 800 4040 it's a free number which you can ring Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm (but the helpline is closed this bank holiday Monday) feel free to ask them about this and talk things through with them.
I hope that you will also hear from the experiences of others on the forum who have been faced with similar treatment choices after being diagnosed with breast cancer. It does help to talk to others who understand your concerns about hair loss for example and I am sure they will have some comforting words for you.

some don’t have chemo it depends on the type of breast cancer good luck xx
If you need chemo you can always try the cold cap ,a lot of women use it to preserve the hair xx
