I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. It's understandable as you start treatment that you may be feeling overwhelmed by things and naturally that you will have concerns about how you will cope over the coming months. 

While it's easy for me to say, and not always so easy to do, try not to think too far ahead as this will only serve to increase your anxiety. Try to take each day as it comes. I would also really encourage you to talk with your clinical nurse specialist about your concerns so that they can hopefully offer you some reassurance. 

Try to remember that not everyone will experience all the possible side effects and it may be that although you're feeling overwhelmed at the moment things settle for you. I hope that you have some support around you from family and friends during this time. 

If you think it may help to talk things through with one of our nurses you're most welcome to call them. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information, and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040 (excluding bank holidays).
