Unfortunately I'm unable to answer the questions in your post but we have a very knowledgeable team of cancer nurses who may be able to help so if you'd like to get their thoughts on this, and discuss anything else you have on your mind at the moment, do give them a call on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all that they can to help.
