Hi Virgil and a warm welcome to Cancer Chat,
I am sorry to hear that you've been having erection problems since the operation to have part of the bowel removed. A year on from your op, I can understand why this is getting you down and I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have had similar erection issues as a result or following cancer treatment. They may be able to give you some good tips based on what worked for them.
You will find helpful information on our website on managing erection problems and it mentions that it is worth talking to your doctor or nurse specialist about this as there are several treatments that may help you. So I would get in touch with your doctor and mention that it is getting you down as it's been a year since you had the operation. They will definitely take your issue seriously and I am sure that they will have some good suggestions for you.
I hope that it all gets resolved for you soon.
Best wishes,
