Tongue cancer and treatment

Hello all. I was diagnosed with tongue cancer in March 2020. It was brilliant, 6 weeks from GP to the operating table at hospital where the did a cracking job. Partial amputation of my tongue. Grafted skin and blood vessel from my arm to rebuild and and and a neck dissection. All good. In hospital for 6 days. Had my 3/6 month checkups (when they haven’t been on strike). My issue is, when I go for checkups and I mention post operative issues ie 4 years down the line, I’m still not eating properly, the right side of my face is still numb, the right side of my neck, the dissection site is numb or agony, depends on the day and my right shoulder is collapsing but they just gloss over it and move on! Not been offered any other services. It’s like “we’ve done our bit, down to you now”. Don’t get me wrong. I’m grateful for getting the cancer out of me. The after effects are brutal though
