  • Hello outlander

I'm sorry to hear that you're facing bladder removal surgery after a diagnosis of cancer. It's understandably a difficult time and natural that you want to ensure you make the right choices for you regarding treatment.

We have some information on our website about surgery to remove the bladder which you may find helpful. I've had a look across the forum and can't see that we have any members currently active who have had this surgery but we have had members share their stories previously. You can read some of those posts by using the forum search function at the top of the page to look for the terms "cystectomy" and "bladder removal". Hopefully, some of those posts will give you an insight into other people's experiences. You might also find it useful to have a look at the Action Bladder Cancer UK website.

If you'd like to talk things through with one of our nurses you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can.

    Best wishes,
