I first noticed a lump under my lymphoedema arm just before going on holiday with my youngest son and wife on the 9th February. I showed it to them and agreed to phone the doctor as soon as I got home. Arrived home on Friday 16th February with a virus. So tried to get a doctor to see me. The receptionist told me I could have a doctors visit because I had had it a while and made an appointment for two weeks later. Had to wait another 10 days to see the oncologist. They said it would be difficult to operate on my lymphoedema arm. I have since had a TC scan that showed I had another problem on the right side of my stomach. I have also had an MRI. Last Friday I went for a discussion with several doctors and nurses. I was told that the Angiophycoma skin cancer was very rare and was going to be difficult to treat. I also have two small lumps close to it that might be connected, I t is being discussed in London. By now my lump is enormous? I have to have a very large plaster to be able to cover it. It weeps and often gets onto my sleeve that I wear on my arm and also on my sheets. I was also told that they think I have liver cancer! That is being dealt with separately. I have to go for a Pet scan on Saturday 11th May. To look closer at my lump. I have heard nothing from the liver team.
I am 86 years old and I am worried sick. I get pain from my arm and also my stomach and left side. I have not been given any pain killers so take paracetamol. It just feels as though I have no hope anymore. The waiting is endless! My children are also very worried about me. What can I do? I feel so tired and stressed.
