Introduce myself

Hi my name is Sarah. One year ago I found out I had ovarian cancer. The tumor grew the size of an orange. They told me it probably was growing for about 5 years I never had any symptoms. It rupturednside my tummy. I have been clear now for a year. I go back to hospital to have blood tests and to see my consultant every 3 months and I also have CT scans every 6 months . So just thought I would y hello

  • Hi Sarah.emily and welcome to Cancer Chat.

I can't begin to imagine how scary that must have been for you last year, but it's great to hear you are in remission and that you're seeing your consultant on a regular basis.

We do have a few ovarian cancer members within our community so hopefully they will make themselves known to you soon, but do feel free to post on any discussions that are of interest to you as everyone is very welcoming and supportive.

If you would like to talk any of this through with someone, then do give our cancer nurses a call. They're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to answer your questions and address any other worries or concerns you may have at this time.

It's lovely to meet you Sarah.emily and I look forward to seeing you around the forum soon.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator

  • I had some tests last week which ended with me having a C125 blood test, a transvaginal scan and a biopsy of my endometrium. Trying to be positive as I know it's unlikely to be cancer but can't stop thinking about it - just want to know one way or another.

Did you have to have chemotherapy? Sounds extremely scary. x
