Hey everyone

Hey I’m a 28yr old female. Ive had issues with fertility and abnormal bleeding (also have PCOS) I hardly have a period (2/3 periods a year). I was supposed to be going through IVF. I had a scan in Feb to check my endometrial lining after a period the nurse was concerned I had not shed any lining after a period so referred me for a hysteroscopy. I had the hysteroscopy and biopsy on Monday, the consultant found lots of polyps, some with a yellowish appearance and some abit black. The consultant said he was quite concerned and has sent an urgent referral for the biopsy to come back within 2 weeks. How does everyone wait this long, I’ve only been waiting a few days and I am SO SO STRESSED!

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat, HussainA.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation and how stressed you are. Waiting for biopsy results can indeed be difficult, especially when you're dealing with health concerns and uncertainties.

It's important to take care of yourself both physically and emotionally while waiting for the results. It might be a good idea to try focusing on activities that help you relax and take your mind off things, if at all possible.

Remember that you're not alone in this, and many others have faced similar situations and if you ever need someone to talk to or share your concerns with, this community is here for you.

Once you know more, please come back to let us know how you are. We're keeping our fingers crossed for you.

    All the best,

  • Thank you so much for your reply. I just need answers, the consultant’s secretary did say she will call as soon as the results come through.
