Stage 3 non muscle invasive tumour removed during TURBT answers please

Hi my husband was diagnosed with suspected bladder cancer, had the TURBT surgery and today been confirmed as stage 3 non muscle invasive aggressive tumour, he has been given 3 options for treatment, obviously we have a lot to discuss and he has a lot of thinking to do, at the moment he’s swinging towards the bladder removal and stoma, but obviously would like to hear from people who have had this done, about recovery, issues that have arisen, if anyone would be kind enough to .

the other option is thebcg treatment which is less invasive , but again long term what are the results and drawbacks .all answers greatly appreciated as he wants to make an informed decision

I'm sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis. Facing treatment decisions can be overwhelming, but gathering information is key so it's important for your husband to discuss all options with his medical team.

Hearing from others who have undergone similar treatments can provide valuable insights and I hope you'll get just that from our members here who can relate to your husband's case.

Our nurses are available too in case chatting with someone medically trained over the phone might help. They can be called Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on this freephone 0808 800 4040.
