I am sorry to hear that you have found a lump and understand your concerns. However, you should definitely book an appointment with your GP. Not all lumps turn out to be cancerous. It is a fact that 80% of those referred to the breast clinic will be cancer free. Many turn out to be benign cysts, fibroadenoma or due to hormonal changes. If it is sinister, the sooner it gets treated, the better your outcome is likely to be.
