I’ve had a wide local excision 12 days ago. It was for ductal carcinoma in situ(DCIS). The cancer cells are intermediate and high grade. I will probably need radiotherapy next. Over the weekend I’ve developed an itchy rash. I am planning on phoning my Cancer Care Nurse tomorrow if the rash is still a problem. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem. I’m not sure which cream, if any, I should use.

Hi Jstaves, I used Aveeno post-surgery. My rash felt like a nettle sting rash and cleared up fairly quickly. I'd say it's worth giving your nurse a quick call about it just in case they have some advice. All the best for a speedy recovery!

Hi Case4, thanks for your help. I use Aveeno sensitive skin for eczema, so I have tried a different Aveeno before. Aveeno post surgery could well be just what I need. I will give my nurse a quick call, though.
