I have sent a poo sample off on 12th  April 24  to my gp. I also sent a cancer bowel  screening  test on 15th April 24. My results have come back stating the sample was taken on the 11th  April 24 ! and I could have bowel  cancer. I'm hoping it's a mistake  but if it is I worry about the person who's results these are for. What do you think.

    I am so pleased for you and your hubby.  You can at last sleep.  Bless  you both.  I have the procedure on 4th May  but they are trying to get me in earlier as I'm a worry bucket. I am going to be  sedated.  Dreading  it. But its got to be done. I'll keep you posted.  Take care

    My Grandma (she's 64) is on a very similar journey to you. She sent both of hers off on April 16th and results of FIT test came back today. There was blood detected in the stool sample and she was also like you referred for an urgent 2 week colonoscopy. No date yet but doctors did say it should definitely be within the next two weeks. I am really nervous because she's had some IBS-like symptoms for the last couple years which come and go, but have been really bad the past few months.

    Hi Supermachine123. Same as me, I've been like that for years and it was only the fact that it got worse  over the last couple months that I decided to call my gp. One fit test later and I'm waiting  confirmation of a colonoscopy apt. I'm having  sedation but on saying that I'm told that there is nothing to it. But I'm  a baby so sedation it is.im sure Grandma will be fine hun. But please keep us posted.  You're  not on your  own hun.  I'll  keep you posted on my experience.  Take care
