Anxiously waiting - introduction

Hi! I just wanted to create a post to try and ease my anxiety and to get myself off the google searches! About 3 weeks ago I did a random breast check and came across an oval, smooth but quite firm/hard lump in the bottom part of my chest., just below the nipple/areola area..

I am 24 with a breast cancer history in my family but from my grandmother who had it in her 60’s and she’s made a full recovery, but I have limited contact with her so I’m not sure of all the details

I am currently on birth control pills where they keep changing my brand (so annoying!) so my GP advised me to wait until my full cycle which I’ve now had.. the lump is still there and hasn’t seemed to change.. I will be making a phonecall on Monday to discuss this with the GP again!

im just nervous :( sometimes I feel like my lump is fixed to my breast tissue when I’m led down, but when im sat up sometimes I find it hard to pin point where it actually is! I will keep updates on here incase anyone is going through the same thing, as I’ve find it hard to find peoples experiences of finding a lump in the bottom part of the breast! Thank you for reading xx

  • Hi Anne03,

It's a good idea to try to avoid the Google searches, so I hope that posting on here has helped, and that it continues to do so.

It's good to hear you are speaking to the doctor again - hopefully you will be able to get the answers you need soon, possibly through a referral if the doctor thinks this is necessary.

I'm sure your post(s) will be helpful to others looking at the forum who may be experiencing something similar.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
